Help Us Avoid The Ethanol Disaster

By: GARKO

While the hysteria continues to mount about global warming all sorts of “solutions” are being advanced and some are more harmful than others and some are even more harmful than fossil fuels!. Biofuel, as you probably know or can guess from the name, is any energy source derived from living organisms of any kind. The most common biofuel is a blend of gasoline called E85, and this is a mixture in a ratio of 15:85 gasoline:ethanol. But the actual ratio is subject to change due to the outside temperatrue and it might be better named E70-85. During cold weather, more gasoline needs to be added to the mixture to ensure the fuel works properly, so E85 is at least 70% ethanol.
The fact that E85 needs 15-30% gasoline in the mixture is not the major problem, that factor is really not such a big deal. If everyone was using E85 and the use of gasoline got cut by 70% that would be a tremendous advantage. .
The real problems with Ethanol follow… The shift to biofuels is causing a global food shortage beyond the usual. The problems are rather fascinating Corn is the primary food base from which ethanol is derived. Since corn is grown and harvested by farmers, there is a finite amount of land that can be used to produce corn. The demand for the corn crop has grown substantially due to the push for biofuels while the supply has struggled to keep up. Corn is more profitable to grow now due to the increased demand, so those in agriculture are growing more corn at the sacrifice of wheat and soy. Instead of a shortage in one staple crop, corn, there is now a shortage in two additional food staples: wheat and soy. As a result of that situation you end up with three new sets of problems: lack of land on which to grow corn and other staples, soaring food prices and, yes, potential starvation of the poor.
Don’t think that this is just affecting poor people though. If you eat food then it affects YOU. Just as higher oil prices have caused the price of goods to increase due to higher transportation costs, what corn gets on the market has shot up unprecedentedly in the last few months - around 30% already this year – all because of the demand for biofuels. Isn't it the poor that our friends on the environmentally-friendly left always want to help by taking our hard-earned tax dollars and redistributing them to the needy? The biofuel solution, pushed hard by the same folks is hurting the poor, hungry, underprivileged people of the world the most.
With food prices causing the poor to become even more destitute, the government will inevitably suck more out of our paychecks while anyone who complains about it will be hit as “unsensitive and selfish” . Wow! It is almost as if it was all designed that way with malice aforethought by the rich and the elite.
In the next 20 years or so, the world population is predicted to rise to such a high level that a fifty percent increase in food production will be needed. In 70 years based on current projections, food production would have to double. But the urgent movement to biofuels - supposedly environmentally friendly - means that an increasing amount of farm land had been given over to fuel rather than food.
New higher demand has been causative of the rapid rise in the prices of fundamental commodities, including wheat, over the past two years.
Biofuels have been suggested as a means of lowering the greenhouse fuel emissions pumped out by fossil fuels however recent research have questioned how much benefit that they might have when all elements of the equation, such as the use of fertilizers on the crops, arefactored into the equation. Critics have been angered by the rapid destruction of tropical rainforests, which have been levelled to allow farmers to grow biofuel crops.
Laying waste to forest landDeforestation has been calculated to cause roughly 18 percent of the planet's greenhouse gas emissions and many scientists view the idea of wiping out forest land in order to grow crops for biofuel to be ill considered.
With ethanol costing about the same as gasoline, there are two possible scenarios ahead of us. If those of us that are educated about ethanol choose not to buy the product because of the side-effects, maybe the decreased demand will help food prices to drop.
Unfortunately, ethanol is a government-subsidized product and they can pump more dollars into lowering the price further, which will spark interest in the new fuel and increase demand. It's a no-win situation for the informed consumer. Our only hope is that global warming is truly found to be a hoax so we can go back living normal lives without fear of potentially starving our neighbors every time we fill up. Unless there is a third alternative.
But here is something that IS happening right now and getting results!
WATER4GAS is sharing information at a low price which car owners can use at home to build a small device which infuses hydrogen into the gas/air mixture that their automobile runs on.
The process makes smaller particles out of the particles that the engine uses as fuel. Because of the smaller size the engine is able to use considerably more of it.
By doing this you can reasonably expect to reduce your gasoline consumption by thirty to fifty percent or even more. Those particles must have been pretty "blankin'" huge in some systems before. But with W4G they are made usable so you can reduce your gasoline consumption.
It also helps make emissions significantly cleaner.
This information has been purchased by over NINE THOUSAND individuals already and happy members number about 99%! So how about you?
