Cosimo, Duke of Florence, thought this incredible place and made it a reality.

Cosimo in one of the most know duke in Florentine history for this Garden and for unpleasant rumors about him and his wife

The legend tells that Cosimo's wife died angered by the loss his esteemed son Giovanni - and that Giovanni was killed by his father.

Recent studies show that Eleonora simply died for malaria.

Although Cosimo was known as a tyrant, he was also known to love his wife Eleonora very much.

Cosimo and Eleonora had 11 children and Eleonora participated to the government of Florence.

Cosimo thought this garden to be enchanting like his wife, to resemble her beauty and his love.
